Since 1993, more than 100 billion boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child (OCC). Samaritan's Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing good news of Jesus Christ.
Since 1993, the Samaritan's Purse project has collected and delivered more than 124 million gift-filled shoeboxes to those children. Shoebox gifts are collected in the U.S., Australia, Finland, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, Spain, and the U.K. More than 500,000 volunteers worldwide, with more than 100,000 of those in the United States, are involved in the collecting, shipping, and distributing shoebox gifts!
Ephesus Baptist has served as a relay center for OCC since 2002 and recently has been given the opportunity as serving as one of the four collection centers in the Northern Neck Area. Ephesus Baptist has been able, through the grace of God, to provide over 1,000 boxes every year since 2014. Since 2002 the total number of shoeboxes sent world wide through the efforts of surrounding area churches has been well over 22,000 boxes worldwide.
